WELCOME TO THE MCKL GAME JAM
Ever wanted to make a game? This is your opportunity. In this game jam, you'll get the chance to channel a horizon of colorful passions into making a game. This can be your ability to tell stories, technical competence in programming, sharp ear in music composition, boundless creativity in art, and more.
After your submission, you will be allowed to play other submissions, as well as vote for them. Your votes will contribute to the "Fan Favourite" winner, but the final winner will still be selected and judged by the CPC committee.
Note that the winning team/individual selected will be required to show us proof of their submission for verification of identity. So do follow our Instagram for updates on this jam, how to verify your identity, and to keep in touch with our club.
The game can be made in any way, be it Unity, UE, from scratch, with Scratch, etc. However, all assets used in the game have to be original. A maximum of three people can contribute to the game as a team, void of external help.
A cash prize of RM50 has been prepared for the selected winning team (this game jam is exclusively for students of Methodist College Kuala Lumpur).
TO FIRST-TIMERS
In a game jam, the only limit to your creativity is the theme. Besides that, your game can be about literally about anything you wish, be that a horror game, a puzzle game, a platformer, there's hardly a limit to your creativity. If you have trouble understanding how a game jam works, you can search examples up on YouTube.
